The book publishing industry is growing rapidly to accommodate the changes in the current learning patterns practiced worldwide. New and sophisticated technology has been introduced to develop a new learning tool that promotes better understanding – the interactive, educational compact discs (Interactive CDs). In the Malaysian education system, these CDs are used to complement textbooks used in schools.

Printing capacity increased…..

Dawama is equipped with computer technology from pre-press, production up to warehousing and distribution. G4 & G5 computer equipments, computer to plate, computer to film, 4 colour Komori L40 printing machine, digital web printing machine and other related equipments enhances the printing process and quality as required by the customers and industry standards.

Our latest state of the art printing machine is the Kodak Nexpress 2100 and Kodak Digimaster 9110 digital printer that print automatically and online. We were the first to own these two machines in the Asia Pacific region. Digital printing is a revolution in the printing industry. It separates itself from the conventional printing to accommodate the needs that conventional printing could not fulfill such as print on demand, database printing and security printing. Dawama realized these potentials and started to provide these services since 2005. An entirely new department was set up to run the show and venture into digital printing.  

Nationwide distribution network….

Dawama appoints book distributors nationwide to distribute and market DBP's publications throughout the country, Singapore and Brunei . Thirty-eight book distributors have been appointed and through their chain of book shops, the books are sold in every state and district nationwide, as well as in The Republic of Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

DBP's publications are also available at big bookstore outlets such as MPH Bookstores, Popular Bookstores, Kinokuniya and Boarders in Kuala Lumpur and other selected states. This, in itself is tangible evidence that we are committed and willing to go the extra mile for DBP and the future of our nation. We will keep giving that extra mile and make it our norm.
